The New Caribbean seeks to increase the amount of Caribbean descended or affiliated Authors, bloggers and types of writers in all forms of writing. We recognize the decline in print media due to the technology of the information age in which we live. Perhaps Jamaica Kincaid and Derek Walcott are the Caribbean's most prolific and profound writers.
However The New Caribbean seeks to expand the scope in which Caribbean authors see as writing material. Whether it be a book about philosophy or a novel about romance, maybe even some 'Copywriting' for a companies advertising campaign, it should all be fair game in our eyes.
Of course we will retain our traditional and cultural interests in our writings and books, but noone can deny the vast amount of material and topics that would benefit the entire region if we had more literature being produced about them, such as books that would cover 'Doing business in the Caribbean', 'Being a young entrepreneur in the Caribbean', 'Tips and tricks when building a new life abroad as an immigrant'.
The New Caribbean intends to commission authors and bloggers to write books and e-books in alignment with its message but more importantly will encourage and finance Caribbean authors' independent works. A regional magazine and newspaper are also in the process of being created for the 'New Caribbean Millionaires Club' community.
